Materials

1. Liquid milk 2 cups
2. little salt
3. Ghee 2 tbsp
4. 1 cup of semolina
5. Flour 1 tablespoon
6. Sugar 2 cups
7. 2 cups of water
8. Cardamom 3-4
9. Cinnamon 2-3 pieces
10. Oil is fine.

Method

Put a pan on the stove and mix milk with little salt and 1 tablespoon of ghee and put it on fire. When the milk boils, add semolina little by little. Boil for 2-3 minutes.

Make a soft dough by kneading semolina with 1 tablespoon of flour and 1 tablespoon of ghee while it is still hot.

If the semolina dough seems hard, add a little liquid milk and if it seems soft, knead it with a little flour. Now put the pan in the oven and mix sugar, water, cardamom and cinnamon in it and make syrup.

When it boils 3-4 times, take the sirah off the stove. If the syrup is too thick, it will not penetrate into the batter. So take the syrup while it is still thin.

Now take a small amount of dough and make it like a long rope, twist it and give it the shape of jillapi. All pithas should be prepared in the same way.

Once all the jillapis are made, fry the pithas in hot oil until golden brown in color. Now in a large spreading pan/serving dish, take the hot syrup and soak the fried pitas in it.

After a short time, turn the pithas once and keep the pithas in the syrup for 2/3 hours. Then the pithas will become soft after soaking in the syrup.

After frying this pitha, it can be eaten soaked in milk without adding sira. As you like. Finally serve the delicious Jilapi Pitha.
