Ingredients:

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Green onions, sliced (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, black pepper, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  3. Add garlic and ginger and stir-fry for a few seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add sliced bell peppers and onion and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Add the shrimp and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
  6. Add the sauce mixture and stir-fry for another minute until the sauce thickens and coats the shrimp and vegetables evenly.
