Easy, delicious and quick—these are the three words that describe making easy homemade waffle recipe. If you MISS the frozen ones that come with your breakfast cereal or if you’re like me and missed making them from scratch ever since breakfast suddenly became the most important meal of the day, then this recipe is for you! These are some of my best waffles ever and I can guarantee you that even if you don’t share my taste in waffles, they will still be delicious once they’re done baking up in your waffle maker.
*1 cup all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
*2 tablespoons sugar
*1 teaspoon baking powder
*1/4 teaspoon salt
*1 cup milk
*2 large eggs
*4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
*Maple syrup and butter, as desired, for serving
With all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl, whisk together. Add eggs and milk and whisk gently to combine.
Pour into preheated waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Serve warm with maple syrup and butter for topping on each waffle as desired.
