When you think of baking a cake, the first ingredient you want is flour. It is much more nutritious than ordinary cake. So instead of flour we will use almonds. Almonds are also a treasure trove of nutrients. This cake is so easy and delicious, you won’t feel like you’re depriving yourself of the cake’s flavor by going flourless.
6 inch/ 15 cm round cake pan.
A little more than a cup (more like three tablespoons) of ground almonds.
A pinch of salt.
Powdered sugar – 1/3 cup.
Granulated sugar- one quarter cup.
Egg – one if large. Or two.
Unsalted butter- four spoons. Melt and cool. Grease the baking pan with some more butter.
Vanilla essence – half teaspoon.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (160 degrees Celsius). Butter the baking pan.
Mix the ingredients very well in a large bowl. Pour the mixture into the baking pan and smooth the top.
Now bake for 35-40 minutes until the cake turns brown.
Insert a stick into the middle of the cake and check. If no part of the cake sticks to the stick, then the cake is ready.
Can be eaten in an airtight container for a long time.
